It's been a tough spring on many folks this year with the temps all over the board and for us that like to capture images of the local flowers, we're running almost three weeks behind. The above flower is a Grape Hyacinth from one of our flower gardens and I have used a texture technique to give it that old look. After doing a little research, I found out that even though it's called a Hyacinth it is actually from the Lily family- who knew?
This image is of a Lily Of The Valley and is actually a lily, unlike the Hyacinth and is also from our garden. After some research I found out that this little guy is known for its sweet fragrance and has inspired perfumes. I also understand that care is to be used when handling, as all parts of this plant are poisonous. Again- "who knew?"
Whenever I see a fern, I can't help but see the fern lined pathways of northern Minnesota in my mind. I find them calming and relaxing and I think every home should have at least one small bed in a shaded corner. Again all of the above images were textured by using Totally Rad software, just to add a little something extra. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
Ahhh, the fern master. Great work Mike and nice use of textures. Spring has been long in coming and now we've got to work like crazy to get it all in!
