Well it's that time of the year again, the weather has turned steamy and the Black-eyed Susans are loving it. I got up before the sun came up Sunday morning in the hopes to capture some images before it got to hot or windy and the above is one of the results. The prairie flowers just seem to thrive on the hot humid weather but our plants at home aren't looking as well.
Some of the DNR's sunflower fields are starting to bloom and I've noticed some michigan Lilly's in the ditches that I need to go back and inspect. The only thing blooming well at our place right now are the mini hollyhocks and the sweet william, the Bee Balm is almost done and the cone flowers are coming on sparse.
That's about all for this week-stay cool and have a great 4th.
Nice job, Mike, and the Susan's are busting out all over.
